Until they all come home.

I understand that everyone has an opinion. Your opinion is as valid and as important to you as mine is to me. You deserve the respect and you have the right to voice your opinions and beliefs in regards to the war in Iraq. But it's more than just our soldiers in Iraq. It's about all of our men and women in uniform all over the world. I am an Associate Blue Star Mom. An associate member because I don't have a child in the armed forces. But I know that service personnel need us. All of us. You may not agree with the means or motivations of the powers that lead us to war. But surely you have the respect for service personnel who carry the true burden of fighting for the American way of life. Yes I know Iraq should solve their own problems. I agree that Iraq should do more to help themselves. But I also believe that in 50 years this world will be a better place for what we have done. Families will prosper as will the freedom of many.

I don't claim to know everything that is going on. I am not saying you should blindly follow your leaders without examination and serious demands for government responsibility. I am saying that as an American I am bound by duty to the flag and I am honored by the right to vote. I am not only in awe of the current sacrifices being made, but I am ever mindful of the sacrifices made over the centuries to promote and preserve our way of life. Many have died so that I may have the luxury of freedom of speech. My heart is filled with sorrow for the many families who have lost a loved one as a result of war. But my pride and admiration for their sacrifice forces me to realize their greatness.
